What was the Bauhaus? It was not an artistic movement or a modern style. The Bauhaus was a school that opened in Germany in 1919, and in the fourteen years of its existence it provided the basis for a new profession: industrial design. An industrial designer has to master and apple art and technology in equal measures. So, the Bauhaus created a teaching program that brought the workshop into the school, thereby creating the model for most of today's design schools all over the world.

The designer faces three main challenges: the first is to discover the true essence of an object, what it is that really defines it; the second is to study its function, to be able to improve it; and the final one is to search for its beauty.

The study of geometry and elemental forms, as well as the influence of Constructivism and , above all, De Stijl, gave rise to an easily identifiable formalist style in the Bauhaus, based on cubes, cones, spheres and cylinders. It established canons of modern furniture by experimenting with bent tubes of stainless steel.

The Bauhaus sought to bring art to the people by integrating it into the industrial process but, paradoxically, only an intellectual elite understood its work.

http://english.sina.com/life/p/2008/0731/175180.html Do you still remember the Qian Shou Guan Yin( Thousand-Hand Avalokitesvar) show that was performed at the Spring Festival Party by China Disabled People’s Arts Troupe, a group who has performed in more than 60 countries throughout the world? It was a marvelous program that had overwhelmed the whole audiences. The performance is on show in Chengdu now.

I admire China training for Olypmia. Those dancers are deaf-mute and hard of hearing. They practiced and practiced every day. To force remember hand position by the body memory. Their performance very ordered and hand's gesture gracefully. Their spirit are worth learing to us.

Tuan Tuan and Yuan Yuan were China sent Taiwan as improve relations. But I don't think so pandas improve relation with mainland. I hope China and Taiwan maintained peace not to unite.
Tuan Tuan and Yuan Yuan are very cute. I like them very much. But I don't want them become government benefites. They are panda not products.

Andrew Warhola (August 6, 1928 – February 22, 1987), more commonly known as Andy Warhol, was an American artist and a figure in the movement known as pop art. After a successful career as a commercial illustrator, Warhol became famous worldwide for his work as a painter, avant-garde filmmaker, record producer, author, and public figure known for his membership in wildly diverse social circles that included bohemian street people, distinguished intellectuals, Hollywood celebrities and wealthy aristocrats.
Warhol has been the subject of numerous retrospective exhibitions, books, and feature and documentary films.
Warhol originated the concept of "15 minutes of fame", which refers to the fleeting condition of celebrity that attaches to an object of media attention, then passes to some new object as soon as the public's attention span is exhausted.

He said "In the future everybody will be world famous for about 15 minutes." I feel he has commarce brains by art to combine life. He used silk screen to make many different colors works. His famous over15 minutes...he effect whole world until now. I like pop art works because those works close our life.

I like Adam Sandler very much. He always let me laugh all the time.
"What if you told a story and the next day it came to life?" Ha ha~ if I would come true the story I think I look forward to life every morning.
The movie told a man who work hardly wait a chance to become hotel's inheritor. He was a pessimistic man and he always think life has no happy ending. One day, he told a bedtime story for his nephews. But his nephews didn't like the story ending, they changed the story result. And the next day, miracle things happened.... Last night bedtime stories came ture on his life. He found he could change his future by his nephews told bebtime stories.
The movie is very funny for me. I like optimistic life. Happy life~~~image future~~
